It has been a week since my BFN test result after our first failed IVF round.
AF showed up on Saturday but has not been as heavy as I expected. On a normal month I usually have extremely heavy flows and was really expecting an awful weekend but it barely lasted 3 days.
What experience has everyone else had following a BFN. I'm going to mention it to my consultant when I have my review in a few weeks but wanted to see if any of you lovely ladies had experienced this too.
TIA x

Hi there! Sorry you had a BFN, I was in the exact same boat as you and I know it’s so upsetting.
My period (or withdrawal bleed) was v similar. I tested 11 Aug, started bleeding on the 14th and it was heavy for one day and then just tapered out pretty quickly, I wish my normal periods were like that!! 🤪
I then had 2 days of spotting or light bleeding on the 25th which I had initially thought was the start of my proper period but that’s just stopped after 2 days and now I’m just waiting for AF to show up this month. As I had a fresh cycle I have no clue what to expect but assume it’ll start in the next week maybe?!
I’ve heard the first bleed isn’t so bad but as with everything, everyone is different! Definitely speak to your consultant about it xxx
Yes that’s what is so great about the ladies on here! You never feel so alone!
Yes we will try again, we have one more fresh cycle left on the nhs and as I only have one frozen embryo (3BB), we would like to do another fresh cycle in the hope that we will have more better quality embryos to transfer. Hopefully I will be able to start in my next cycle (my ‘proper’ period started yesterday) so fingers crossed for a transfer in November..)
What about you? Do you think you will try again soon? Xx
Sounds similar to me. I had some bleeding 3 days after my transfer and I knew deep down something weird was going on. I caved in and did a test this morning and unfurtunaly it was negative. I am usual quite heavy on my period as this one was no where near. God knows what's going on lol. so I will be definately mentioning it to the clinic when I have a follow up. X
