Bit of hope that all of the veg has been worth it - latest semen analysis

Hello! We have just had my follicle scan (16 follicles yay) and updated semen analysis. We are going through IVF/ICSI due to low sperm count and morphology. Just found out that my husbands count has more than doubled since the last test in December and gone from 11 million to 26 million which is now classed as normal. Unfortunately the morphology is slightly lower than last time at 3% instead of 4%, The only difference he has made is taking proxeed and eating a lot healthier/cutting out alcohol.

We have been told that we will find out on the day of egg collection whether it will be IVF or ICSI but our consultant is pushing for ICSI. We are so happy with the count results, but anyone managed to increase the morphology at all? Thought if there is anything we could do to help with the morphology now then might be worth it.

Hi Rain. That's so good to hear of his improvements. Diet and vitamins can sometimes improve sperm count and motility, but sadly won't have any impact on the morphology, but he's done well, so hopefully all will be OK. Good luck! Diane

Hi. Perhaps a referral to either a urologist or andrologist for further investigations to check for any possible cause, which unfortunately is not found. Fortunately, we can try ICSI or TESA. Diane
