So on Monday I had my first blood test to check hormone levels (the one taken first 5 days of your period) this blood test was suppose to happen in March but due to COVID got cancelled.
Does anyone else feel so sick and dizzy with blood tests especially during their period? Apparently my periods are normal but I feel dizzy and sick with them anyway but with this blood test I felt so awful afterwards, when I got home I fainted and smashed my head off a door. I even had to take a day off work due to this.
I’m lucky my employer is understanding but I’m so scared for more bloods etc and then feeling so ill afterwards.
Anyone else experienced this?

During my IUIs I had to get bloods taken every morning and it could make me feel quite dizzy sometimes. I found that I feel better if I had the last morning appointment around 9-10 rather than 8am. Drinking lots of water and having something to eat before hand also helps. Luckily I only fainted once and was still in the clinic so they dealt with me 😂🙈 they said if you ever feel faint after leaving to lie down and elevate your legs. I am sure that being on your periods can make it worse too xx
I think I’ll ask for the last appointment sounds better then early Cos this one was quite early and defo drink loads, yeh I wish I hadn’t of been at home alone when it happened I had to ring my boss as I couldn’t go into work and he was like go to bed, relax and chocolate lol
