Ivf Success - blood tests

Hi everyone, I got my first positive today (11days post 5day transfer) the hospital (shrews) have now given me a scan date for the 7 weeks but they said I don’t need blood tests done? I’m a bit confused as everywhere I’ve read during the two weeks wait people have said they had BETA straight away? Has anyone had experience with shrews fertility clinic please :) many thanks

Congratulations! My clinic didn’t need a blood test only the regular pee test. I had my own private blood test done, as I had bleeding, just to check levels to set my mind at rest.

That sounds like a good idea, I think it will put my mind at ease. Thanks for replying 😊❤️

Thank you 😊 I’m feeling better knowing it’s the norm with some clinics. Did any body keep testing though ?

My clinic diesnt do blood either. Just normal stick and 7wk scan. I didn't test in between, the body is full of meds and hormones so tests don't give the real answer, and for me personally, as much as I wanted that pregnancy, it is so fregile that can vanish any time 😭 so tests don't give you any serious info. That's how I feel about it anyway.

Congratulations! Enjoy every minute of it! 9 months go by so quickly! 💕

Congratulations! :) This is our clinic too and we had our first positive in August after our second fresh cycle (first fresh transfer)

I didn’t have a blood test at the clinic following our positive on a HPT. Like you they just offered the 7 weeks viability scan a few weeks later.

Hi my clinic don’t do blood tests either. Just hpt on OTD and then 7 week scan.

I’m currently 9dp5dt and have a positive so praying it sticks and this pregnancy continues!

Also pray everything goes well with you xx

My did a test but i guess it’s not essential. You could ask your gp if they can confirm pregnancy with a blood test? Not sure if they will but may be worth asking before you pay out xx

Hi Jane! How are you? I hope you are feeling better now. First of all, Congratulations on your BFP. I am really happy for you. It feels so good to finally read a success story after so many posts. Other than that, the clinic doesn't need your blood test. If you are still not sure, then you can go for it just to clear your doubts. Everything else is alright. I hope things go well for you in the future. Take care. Good luck! Stay blessed. Bye!

Merry Xmas. Apart from suffering from crippled trapped wind and bloating everything is still perfect. I went for a scan two weeks ago as I was having pains in my left side, clinic said my left ovary was still enlarged but bloods came back all clear. I have my 8 week scan on Monday coming, counting down the days. Our first Xmas in 7 years we’ve put a tree up and enjoyed the festive season 🎄 thank you so much for your kind words xx

Hi Jane! How are you? I am really happy for you. Your name suits you now, jane is standing in the rain of blessings. Congratulations on your bfp. The blood tests are not that necessary but if you have any doubt then you should go for it. In my opinion, i don't think you need to go for that. But it depends on you. It's great that you are sharing the clinic's name here, many people will benefit from that. People who are still suffering from infertility will definitely look into this clinic. Stay blessed. Good luck. Take care. Bye!

Hey Jane. I hope you are feeling better. I am so happy that it worked out for you. The blood test you are worried about is not that important. But if it bothers you then just go for it. You can also ask your doctor, i am sure he won't ask for a blood test. Be happy that things are in your favor. Take care of yourself. You need to adapt a healthy lifestyle to make it through. Do show us your beautiful baby when it's done. Good luck! Stay blessed. Take care. Bye!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I’ve held out and gone with what the hospital advised as listening to them has got us here ❤️ Just the weekend to get over with and then we have our scan on Monday 🙏🏻 I must admit the wait for the visibility scan had been more intense than the 2ww but Xmas had kept us occupied. I will definitely keep you all up to date what ever happens next. Thank you again xx

Hi everyone, just wanted to update you all.

We had our visibility scan on Monday and everything is perfect ❤️ Baba is now 8 weeks and 3 days with a perfect heartbeat. The last 7 years of a constant rollercoaster of hope and heartache just drifted away and all the mattered was that moment we heard those words and saw baba on screen.

Please don’t ever give up hope.

May 2020 be the best year 🙏🏻 Xx
