Hello girls, I’m due to have a FET on Friday (fourth attempt) with DE - my clinic just arranged for a blood test to be done 1 hour before the transfer to check my progesterone levels. However I feel very uncomfortable with this, I’m afraid this will somehow mess up with blood flow in my body etc. I remember my acupuncturist saying something like that too so I’m not really keen. Anyone had here had a blood test done before transfer? Thanks for all your support, if it wasn’t for this forum I would really be lost at times xx

Blood test before FET
I haven’t had any experience of this. It’s a personal choice- the progesterone level is to check that it is in the right level at the time of transfer. This may then guide if you need more progesterone supplementation which will hopefully mean that baby is more likely to stick. I know lots of women here have had struggles to get their clinics to have their progesterone levels checked. Unless having a blood test makes you super stressed, then it is likely to have minimal effect on your body.
I've no experience of this I'm afriad and my clinic don't do a blood test before transfer.
Good luck for Friday xxx
Sorry no experience either but it sounds right what Zoe said about meaning that they can alter your pessaries if needed. Good luck xx
It sounds like a great opportunity to check your progesterone is good. I would trust the clinic. It sounds like they are going the extra mile for you.
Hi clarecare80. Probably just checking that you have ovulated and your womb lining will be sufficient for FET. Try not to worry and trust them, they want it to work too. Diane
