Extra Lubion

Hi lovelies,

I had my FET this morning and a progesterone blood test to check my levels. The clinic just called to say that it's a bit low (50) and needs to be about 75 - so they are upping my meds to 2 x lubion shots a day (plus the 2 pessaries). Has anyone else had experience of needing this much progesterone? It seems like a lot :(

thanks xxx

My doctor said that there was no maximum level

Of progesterone above which it wasn’t considered safe/detrimental to a transfer. I was on 3x 400mg pessaries a day and on day of transfer mine was 145 - I’m convinced that having such high levels supported both my embryos implanting and I’m nearly 12 weeks with twins

Congratulations! I guess I'm worried that if I need this much progesterone now, what chance do I have of the embryos sticking :(

I was on the same as you for my last FET and it did implant. I did end up miscarrying but this was likely genetic. I am a big believer in the right progesterone levels as the one time I didn’t have injectable progesterone I bled early. I think some people (myself included) just don’t absorb the pessaries well so I was happy to take the 2 Lubion per day. Xx

Thanks Peony - that makes me feel a bit better. It’s so hard to know. In a way I think the more you know, the worse it can be! Hope you’re well xx

Hi Millbanks. It's great that your clinic monitor your progesterone levels. (My clinic don't as far as I know) Remember that its their job to make sure you have enough so don't worry. You are in great hands by the sounds of it!
