Hi all, this question is actually for a really good friend of mine and I told her about this forum and how supportive it’s been fir me x
But she found out today from her GP that her bloods came back with very low LH, meaning she isn’t ovulating (according to her GP) she’s been told that due to covid she may have to wait a year to see the specialist at our local hospital and as you can imagine she’s panicking. She’s 35 and is wondering if anyone has been in her boat and managed to have a baby? The GP. Wasn’t able to help her as didn’t know enough about it and she’s been reading online (which is the worst I know) and the studies are confusing her.
I just want to give her abit if hope as I remember hearing I had fertility issues and it’s the worst moment, as we all know.
If there is anyone out there that can help give her some advice I’d be greatful.
Thanks
Sarah xx

The low LH isn't anything to do with age or getting older, if that helps - it just means that she isn't ovulating and probably needs medication to help her ovulate. Not something I know much about, but I don't think she has to panic too much about a delay - if it was low AMH or high FSH that would be an indication that she was running out of time. Wishing your friend lots of luck xx
Thank you fir replying. I did mention medication to her. I think if the GP had given her abit more info she’d of felt better instead told to wait a year before she can find anything out. Leaves you worrying doesn’t it x
Sorry no experience with low LH but her GP can refer her to the fertility team now and I'm pretty sure it wont take a year. I went and got seen within 2 weeks. Obviously it's now covid central and appointments will be delayed but the sooner she goes the sooner she gets answers. They may try her with clomid and she might fall without having IVF etc xx
