Morning ladies, I started my first lot of injections yesterday. We have boxes of menopur 600. I am on a 300 dose. We used the first half yesterday and triple checked the amount. This morning it didn’t seem to get to the 300 line. There was still a small amount of solution in the bottle that the syringe wouldn’t collect. Don’t know if I am doing something wrong or others have found that too? Xxx

Menopur injections
this is quite common, you need to have the bottle at an angle and really wedge the syringe into the corner of the bottom of the bottle and you should be able to get all of it.. its quite tricky sometimes but you will soon get the hang of it! Don't worry too much about a little bit being left behind this time though. Good luck xx
Great advice from Daisy, really get just the tip of the needle inside the bottle and tip it at an angle....that was the best way I got everything out that I could.xx
Hi Jonesy. As the others have explained, make sure you put the needle right down to the bottom of the ampoule while tilting it so the liquid runs into the corner. Hopefully you are using a long enough needle to reach. Make surre you tap the syringe (upside down) to ensure any air moves to the top before expelling it. You will be fine, once you've done it a few times. Good luck! Diane
Brilliant thanks ladies. I knew you would point me in the right direction😘 xxx
Either that or tip the bottle upside down and have the needle in only slightly. It might be that you need to put pressure when pulling the syringe. As a nurse I hate leaving that last bit in the bottle xx
