Hi there, I was wondering if anyone else found they were very emotional during stimulation phase. I have noticed I'm feeling tearful and a lot more anxious about work

Stimulation
Hi Lavendartea,
Just wanted to say that I’m feeling the same. The last few days I’ve felt really emotional and teary, just can’t seem to shift it.
Xx
Hi Lavendartea,
Weirdly I just realized today (day 9 of stims) that I am not really emotional at all! Like the equivalent of my mood when I am close to ovulating. So weird, as my PMS emotions two months ago were fierce and I imagined/feared IVF hormones would induce something similar. My husband and I were prepared for me to turn into an irrational monster--but nothing! Maybe I am speaking too soon though...
I hope you feel better soon and rest assured that your anxiety and sadness are most likely just the synthetic hormones talking.

Yes absolutely! It’s completely normal! We’re injecting additional hormones that our body has to cope with. In the first days, I didn’t feel any different, but got doubly emotional/tearful towards egg collection. Hang in there... our bodies and minds have to deal with so much during IVF. Keep visualising your lining growing, healthy eggs and a perfect egg collection, transfer and pregnancy. Stay positive. Thinking of you xx
Yes definately! I was fine at first but as i got closer to egg collection my mind went into overdrive and i was so anxious about everything related to the treatment. I found meditation really helped me at these times, there are some free ones out there, free trials or specific fertility ones, you just have to find which one works for you. Does anybody at work know? Could you confide in one person maybe a manager who will understand if you are feeling a bit off or if you need an extra break or to come in late one day just to ease the pressure. Good luck xx
Oh gosh yes! I cried loads when stimming. Even cried AT work a couple of times. I was a mess! x
