Hi I dont post often, however I have been taking pre pregnancy vitamins for the last month. I have started with severe diarrhoea and now i feel nausea all the time. I'm not sure whether I'm over dosing on pre pregnancy vitamins. I have high iron levels as it is (haemocromotosis). I have a luteal cyst and thickend womb. I have no children and never been pregnant at 34yrs old. I Dont ovulate properly, this checking 5-6times per day waiting for a positive test.
I have since stopped taking the vitamins, but ovulated properly 2 days ago.
Has anyone else had this? I never suffer from D&V, dont have any gastro problems. Never poorly. It's worked as I can see on my ovulation test. But cant digest my food properly now.

Hey Jayne, I was the same not doing great on the vitamins despite normally being healthy. So started leaving one of the vitamins out each day to see what one was causing the nausea (I was also getting some heart palpitations) It was the cozenyme Q-10 that was doing it to me so I’ve stopped them and all good now. Could you maybe try the same technique perhaps so if it pinpoints which vitamin is causing it? Although might just be the combination of them too xx
I started taking a multi vitamin when we started TTC. I started having an upset stomach and after a few months my periods became irregular. I changed to a different multi vitamin but that didn’t help.
Now I have stopped taking a multi vitamin and just take vit c, vit d, zinc, folic acid and coq10 and my periods have become more regular and I don’t suffer from diarrhoea or feeling sick anymore. I was never sure which vitamin was causing the problem but I guess some supplements just don’t agree with some people. xxx
It could be the vitamin C interacting with your haemocromotosis. Vitamin C increases your body’s absorption of iron and with hawmacromotosis it will already be pretty high. Maybe try cutting it out first.
Hi. If you are eating a good diet with a varied crossed section of food and green vegetables, then perhaps just stick o Folic Acid and Vitamin D, which is all you really need. Good luck and hope you soon feel better. Diane
