Co-enzyme q10 and pregnancy

I was taking co-enzyme q10, 200mg three times a day pre and during IVF. We have just had a positive test on our 2nd cycle. Have people been advised to continue or stop this on e they got a positive pregnancy test?

Thanks

Huge congratulations!!!

My clinic advised to stop Coq10 after the positive test an continue either with complex prenatal vitamins or separately Folic acid / Omega 3 / Vitamin D. But be sure to check with your clinic what they recommend for you.

Best of luck xx

Hi. U must admit unless you need them or advices to take vitamins, no need to if you are eating well. Give your body a break. Good luck to all. Diane

Congrats- the coq10 is for egg quality so I normally stop after egg collection so you can defo stop after positive test. It hasn’t been tested in pregnancy as ‘safe’ is why they say stop after positive test and also you do t need it anymore anyways 🤗💜 wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy xx

I took it as read it can give the embryo energy to implant so stopped after BFP.

My clinic didn’t recommended anything to me other than Vitamin D and folic acid - I was taking CoQ10 and others based on my reading of “it starts with an egg”. I must admit I was always concerned about taking all the additional supplements as I put myself in to a “box” from reading that book and never really knew for SURE that any of the extras helped and so, day of transfer I switched to Pregnacare Max and ditched everything else making sure (and still) drinking a fountain of water a day and eating clean xx

Congratulations! My clinic advised me to stop it after BFP as it could be harmful.
