FET... What happen s if I ovulate

Hi... So I started FET cycle... Just received step by step FET cycle process. I'm on letrozole which is for ovulation.... My doubt is... They mentioned that embryo Wil be transferred 2-5 days after ovulation!!!! I mean what happens to that egg if my embryo get implanted.... I was very confused can't even ask my FET team about it...does anyone know about it help me......

Hi Same0508,

That egg you release won’t be fertilised so it won’t affect anything. Your clinic will ask you to abstain from unprotected sex during your fet x

Hi then what happens to unfertilized egg? It won't fuse with embryo right? I'm very worried...

No it won’t! It just gets absorbed by your body. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. People do frozen transfers where they ovulate all the time x

Thanks... I have first blood check on day 10 ie on May 29...i was told once I ovulate they transfer... Hope it implants this time!!! Thanks...

Hi this is totally normal the egg will just leave your body the way it does every month as it won’t be fertilised. They are timing it with your natural ovulation so your womb and hormones are most receptive to the embryo they are putting back. Your embryo is already a few days along so they time it for a few days after you ovulate. Good luck with your FET xx
