So, I know I’m the lunatic that tested with a very out of date pregnancy test not so long ago… which tbf gave an accurate BFN 🙁
I am trying modified natural for my next FET and am waiting for my next period to start using ovulation tests on day 8 of my cycle.
I’m nervous using my natural cycle, but have found some out of date ovulation strips that I am tempted to start to use now even though I’m on day 15 of my cycle. Just to see what results I get.
I’ve got the one step strips that expired 02/23 and some clear blue tests that expired 10/23.
Will either of these be any use at all?! I’m going to pee on them anyway as I may as well right?! Sorry if I sound bonkers!!! 🙈

I would bin the expired ovulation tests, too risky to rely on them for your actual fet cycle. Don't put yourself through unnecessary stress or risk this cycle going wrong. Just buy new ones. The easy@home ovulation tests are good, the large box comes with pregnancy tests too.
I did wonder that tbh. I’ve just requested 21 day progesterone test from doctors too. Assume the clinic can see I’m ovulating from all the scans and tests I’ve had as they haven’t mentioned that?
How is your natural modified cycle going to be planned out? I know that your clinic is abroad, isn't that a bit more tricky to schedule you in for a transfer? I guess you could check to see when you start seeing a faint line and book your flight and transfer? Does you clinic do transfers 7 days a week?
I’ve never had an issue with transfers. They only mentioned being closed over Xmas so I’m not sure. Booking flights is usually about a week before regardless of protocol 🥹
I’m sure they are fine but will you still second guess or question the results knowing the expiry date 🙈 I’d still give them a go though , we spend enough on this bloody things 🙌
I’m going to buy some for the actual cycle. But my clinic haven’t asked me to test before then so thought I may as well give these a go and see what they do 🙈
