Got in touch with my clinic on a direct dial phone line that was supposed to be closed... they have been given the go-ahead to open but won't be until June as they still need to get things in place. Sigh. First egg collections will be in July, and mine will probably be in August (not confirmed). I know this isn't the worst news in the world, but does feel a bit meh when other clinics are managing to get their clients back in this month!

I feel like I'm in crazy land! Why are they going to spend the next few weeks "getting ready"?! They should BE ready! And then it takes months before egg collection?! Give me strength! x
On the hfea website my clinic is not even on the list and I have my first appointment at the end of the month 🤷🏻♀️
Happy for you. 😊 Maybe (when the phone lines are actually open again) I will get back on to my clinic. It does seem a bit crazy.
No, I meant I got an appointment but it looks like they are not on the list yet. Maybe they are hoping to reopen by then. Hope you’ll get things moving very soon! x
Oh. Weird you've got an appointment when they're not on the list yet. They either must be expecting to be on the list soon or is it a appointment that might be done over the phone/video? x
No, the appointed is definitely in person and my husband has his sample test booked at the same time too. I think they expect to open by then x

Thanks Sunshine. It just makes me question why we're staying with them. They have put us back before (pre-coronavirus) and they're an hour and a half away so not exactly convenient..... Glad I have something to aim for, but it just makes no sense to me that we have to wait this long.
Really frustrating news. Totally understand the wait is a killer right now 
Do you have any options for other clinics? Hopefully the next couple months fly by for you either way! xxxx
The wait is always a killer with ttc! Every part of it! Lol. We had another clinic that we went to for our NHS round and they were fine, but it's just that we got pregnant with this other clinic and so I have an emotional attachment to them (despite mmc), AND I'm signed up with Access Fertility so we have to continue with the same clinic unless we cancel our Access Fertility plan, which is a possibility, but doesn't really help us long term.
I feel exactly the same 😢 Sounds about right in my case. Finally email works at my clinic and i am told that probably they are going to operate on half their capacity. 30 cycles (omg!) were canceled so they get priority and then they will consider my FET. I was asked to keep checking their website. They expect to get their green light next week. From the looks of it i should be happy if i get it in august. Im a bit annoyed by this. 😭

Glad it's not just me being annoyed - thought maybe I was overreacting, but every month counts in this horrible journey! Not sure why it would take 3 months from now to get to egg collection. Even worse for you with a FET, which are much easier rounds than fresh. Hmmm and is it going to be like this going forward? Does make me wonder if I should switch clinics to one that isn't going to make me wait 3 months.... I DO feel for the people who had cycles cancelled and 100% agree they should have priority as that is a devastating thing to have happened, but it's still upsetting to wait so long, you know? Feel like my clinic has oversubscribed themselves, and they've been advertising for new patients throughout lockdown (saying you can have consultations virtually etc.) which seems a bit silly if they've got a backlog of 3 months! x

Same, very happy for the ladies that got their cycles canceled to get priority but i also think they just continue accepting private patients (they advertise). I thought waiting 3 years was enough waiting demonstrated by us. For your fresh cycles or any other patients you would expect they HELP the existing patients first before moving to new patients. Im anxious that i keep waiting for a cycle and the list gets longer and longer and june turns into july to august etc etc. Private clinic i attended the webinars of say they dont have waiting times. I dont think we are overreacting under these circumstances its just one if those (bloody) days that babydream seems further away than ever. Xx

Yup more waiting. I do feel like they might be prioritising new clients also to get them in as they know once you're at a clinic people tend to stay there for the next round too! Feels immoral, but then it's private business.... they're all just about making a profit (no matter how lovely the nurses etc. are). Grrrr.
Hi ttcemmie, I totally share your frustration. Waiting can be hard. My clinic won't be open until 01/06. So I need to wait until then to have my FET then. Hope you get your egg collection earlier than Aug. X

I'm in aus.... Our clinic has only FET, ovu induction are open... Closed for collection... Waiting. For FET now... But worried to have or not wat if I ended up getting covid... Very confused.... It may be this month next month or next year pls understand that if u get Corona there Wil be no medication.... Me n my hubby r thinking to go for FET in July although my FET team are ready for transfer.. .. It's really scary out there.. Stay safe...
