Egg Collection Complete

Nurses and doctors were all lovely. Anaesthetist did the drugs in my arm as people always struggle to find a vein in my hand and I said this upfront. Much happier with it being in my arm! 😊😊 My clinic doesn't knock you out, just a bit of pain relief. This round was probably the most painful I've had, but the doctors all said I was really good - barely moved etc.

Embryologist was happy with the sperm and the eggs. Got 11 🥚 in total! V happy with that. I was wanting 11 (the number I had in mind), but didn't think we'd get them! 🤞🤞🤞 for mature eggs and lots of fertilisation.

Just tired now. Going to lie down on the sofa.

Well done ttcemmie, glad everything went well and 11 eggs is a fantastic number gives you a great chance! I hope you are feeling okay? I experienced a few turns today after I came around from the sedation so had to stay in for a few hours. We got 14 eggs, really happy. Best of luck for the phonecall tomorrow 💫 keep resting Xx

Wow! 14! I'm good; I was just tired yesterday. I think having a local anaesthetic is actually kind of a positive in one way as I don't have to "come round" so I was fine pretty much immediately, but I could tell when it completely wore off as there was a bit of pain! The anaesthetist at my clinic holds your hand for the whole procedure which is the sweetest thing ever and might be one of my fave things about the clinic! Lol.
