Egg collection booked for Monday

Hi lovelies! Had my scan on Friday and egg collection is booked for Monday... They think they have 6 big follicles which is apparently good for my low AMH 💪🏻

They saw a polyp that they said the Dr would have a look at on Monday, it may get in the way of an embryo transfer so hoping they think it’ll be fine - otherwise I’ll have to have it removed before any transfers 😬

I presume this would cost a lot as we’re in a private clinic so really hoping they can leave it!

I’ve always had to have an empty bladder for EC (and a full bladder for ET), so I’d maybe check that with your clinic xx

I’ve never heard of a full bladder for egg collection? Presumably they’ve told you to be nil by mouth from a certain time this evening, then only clear liquid until tomorrow morning? I could have sips of water but that was it on both occasions. Wishing you lots of luck xx

A full bladder is not advisable, just empty your bladder. I stopped taking liquid like 6hrs or more before the time as advised

Yay good luck!! I had to have a polyp removed before transfer as it was right on the spot that the embryos like to implant apparently - so hopefully it will make a difference 👍🏼💖

I had a bit of a tearful meltdown during the procedure so had to have some gas and air but that made it a lot easier, as it was getting very uncomfortable.

They said 12 eggs were collected so hoping for a positive call tomorrow 🍀💫🥚

And they’re not worried about the polyp, thankfully!
