What's going on? Tldr: no period, not pregnant - 2 weeks late

Hi all

Stupid question probably but bear with me.

I'm 43 (44 tomorrow). Have had short cycles 23/24 days since I started at the age of 12. Been tracking properly since 2013 and most cycles this up to 26/28 days. 2016 I got very stressed (new job, boss died, a lot of pressure, getting married, fertility treatments etc) and periods stopped being normal (spotted a lot) and it took me 18months to get periods back to my normal, which they have been ever since.

In early Feb I had a donor transfer, didn't work, the next cycle was 22 days (my normal)

Started this cycle on March 16th. I normally ovulate days 13-17 based on Ovusense tracking / 3 years of having cycles tracked by fertility docs. Had sex day 13 (March 28th). Spotted a little 7 days later (April 4th) so stopped wearing ovusense as I thought my period was on its way early (was day 20 for me). Spotting Bright blood a little only on this day and nothing since. Not a drop.

Did a test April 13th - negative - thought, huh, maybe it was too early, I'll try again:

Did a test April 23rd - negative

No blood, no spotting, a few cramps but nothing major.

Wtaf? Could be perimenopause at my age I know (although my mum didn't go through it until her 50s), could be stress from the whole current situation (except I feel calmer and less stress than normal due to not travelling or commuting)

Any thoughts? If it continues past the date of my next period I am thinking of either going to the doctor (which I am reluctant to do at present for obvious reasons) or taking some progesterone for 10 days to try and see if it makes my period come so we can try again.

I have no pregnancy symptoms either before you ask.

Assume this is probably perimenopause but feel like I am going crazy (also because my whole donor egg plan is obviously on hold too for the time being)

I’m also late and not pregnant and no period symptoms, I’m starting to wonder if it is just corona stress related, but like you I’m not actually stressed, it’s strange😞 xx

My latest cycle was late, it was def stress! X

My cycles are always screwed by ivf - you think you are back to normal but then wham often the second and third are messed up and then sometimes that becomes the ‘new normal’

Quite probably. Not had the problem before, but infertility is the gift that keeps on giving after all 🙄

Hi Travel. Perhaps you need to speak with your GP re some blood tests to check out your hormones?? Diane
