Egg donor experience

Who has used an egg donor? My partner and I have a 13 month old from IVF but we are having trouble conceiving our 2nd baby with IVF and the clinic has advised we should use an egg donor. Our little girl looks so much like both my partner and me, I know the clinic tries to pick donors with a similar appearance but I'm wondering if babies from donor eggs actually resemble the mother.

I just joined and spotted your post so wanted to reply.

I have DE twin boys , we used a clinic in Greece because it was anonymous so can’t be traced in later life , I to was worried about the babies not looking like either of us (although we used dads sperm) how wrong I was one of the babies is the spit of his dad and the other baby is like me (sounds mad I know) but I get told all the time how one looks like me so I just roll with it , I have to give so much credit to my clinic they do an amazing job at matching , another friend of mine used them and has a baby 2 months before our twins were due and her son looks exactly like her as well so the clinic we both used obviously have fantastic matching skills.

I’d be happy to show you pics if that would help I know it’s a touch decision to make switching to DE for us we had no choice as my egg reserve was practically zero.
