Hi Shia, I have had this too. I find that if I eat little snacks throughout the day it helps to keep the nausea at bay (a little bit) if I don't eat it makes it worse so dry toast, biscuit, bit of fruit whatever you can manage. The only drink I can easily stomach is watered down orange juice but I'm finding drinking enough difficult. I'm going to try buying some ice lollies next. Have you been sick yet? I was vomiting at 9 weeks but seem to be back to just feeling sick at 10 weeks xx

They are good ideas as I think ice lollies would be nice and fruits etc ☺️

Yes my routine is... wake up, eat a biscuit lying down, sit up in bed for 5 minutes, get up and eat a piece of fruit 😂 Then I have to eat every 3 hours otherwise I feel even more nauseous. Haven't found anything to get rid of it fully unfortunately but it's become bit more manageable xx

Yes that’s good routine but unfortunately I work 7 am to 7 pm 5 days a week so I have to wake up 5 am and get ready and came to work , I live in Auckland and I am working in essential services so I can’t have snacks etc all the time ☹️ and a long day ahead but I like your schedule

Oh no wonder you're feeling so sick having to work those long hours right now 🙁 Is your manager supportive? It's such a shame you can't work from home as being pregnant we're classed as vulnerable.

It will all be worth it in the end xx

My boss is really supportive and usually I am alone in my cabin and I can eat whenever I like but definitely I am bound for 12 hours everyday and sometimes v v tired but this is tough time on our nation and they need their essential workers and hope this little one if he is strong enough will stay with me , please pray for me

Ginger is good for nausea, can you manage some ginger tea? (Or ginger biscuits!)

Ice lollies were my saviour as couldn't eat or drink much. That and ginger biscuits and plain buttered bread. As others said try little and often. Sip drinks as you don't want to get dehydrated. If your being sick lots then look for some isotonic drinks to get the salts back in. Good luck. Plus the doctor said nausea and sickness was a sign of a good pregnancy

I will arrange some ice blocks and buscuits , I hate to go near any food, there is nothing I can eat it seems , feel like to cry and it’s the same whole day, Thankyou for your suggestion Lesmec

All I craved was something salty when I felt nauseous. It worked for me but its trial and error. Also refreshing things like ice lollies helped to feel hydrated. Hopefully you can find something that helps.

I was exactly the same I went off every food possible. Midwife told me eat little and often whatever you can manage. She told me to sip lots of water too which I did find helped. Luckily I just felt sick all the time and wasnt actually sick. I'm now 14 weeks and the feeling has totally gone and has for few weeks now. It does get better I promise 😊😊. Good luck with everything hope your feeling better soon xx

Hi there,

I know exactly how you are feeling. From being 5-13 weeks pregnant I was sick 6/7 times a day and couldn’t go to work. I spoke to my doctor when I was 7 weeks pregnant and they prescribed me sickness medication which really helped and only made me sick once a day which was a real improvement. I am now 16 weeks pregnant and I do still feel sick but not been sick in over a week.

Things will get better and if not don’t be afraid to speak to your doctor.

Try eat small amounts little and often.

Take care x

I've found that eating smaller meals more regularly really helps, rather than having three main/larger meals, plus snacking on dry crackers in-between! I've completely gone off anything with any real flavour too so seem to be favouring bland food.. really hoping my appetite for more flavoursome food comes back at some point soon haha xx
