Feeling down, no period

After three failed FET, since February I had no period. I'm 43 years old and I have what feels like perimenopause. I'm worried all the hormone treatment and mock cycles in-between has messed up my biology.

I've taken pessaries for seven days that supposed to bring on period but sadly nothing. Tomorrow I have to take ultrasound scan to check lining. To date my lining was always good. Now feels like I fear lining is thin. I suppose to have biopsy for type of ERA worn Professor Bronson at implantation clinic but I can't until I get period with day five ovulation. I hate the fact my clinic wanted me to take their ERA before another transfer. I'm considering acupuncture now to help rebalance my hormones.

I normally exercise and eat well to get myself sorted. This feeling of sadness is growing and I don't know what to do. Feels like everyone else is getting on and I am stuck. I just don't know where to turn my head on this, feels rough.

So sorry to hear about your failed FETs - its so hard.

I do think sometimes our hormones need a re-balance - we go through so much.

Acupuncture is meant to be great for this - I can;t stand needles so never enjoyed it but if you do then you should definitely give it a go!

Also, if you don't want to do the ERA you absolutely don't have to - you are the client so tell them what you do and don't want to try.

Thank you. I have challenged them, they put seed of doubt in your mind. So I'm not doing era, thought one last test with professor Bronson at research centre rather than commercial IVF clinic. It's been a long wait. I've contacted my acupuncturist for appointment, IVF robbed me of my body for years now. It's hard at times, all that money, pain and empty nest. Thank you for responding it means a lot to me.

I know exactly what you mean - IVF takes so much from you - but it can work - as hard as it may seem. You still have time.

I'm sorry to hear about your failed FET's and hormones messing yuour cycle.

I'm also 43 and on January I had failed egg retrieval. No eggs were found. I believe it was too early retrieval. After that I had 21 day cycle and then nothing. After that I have gotten terrible menopause symptoms: hot flushes, no period and insomnia. Now it's 67 days since my last period. Before that I had regular 26 day cycle and no menopause symptoms.

Day 57 and counting for me. FET in February and after withdrawal bleed there has been nothing since.

I am 41. Your body has been through a lot and it will need tone to rebalance. I am going on holiday tomorrow and will deal with it when I get home if it hasn't arrived by then!
