Thinking of everyone who has had cycles cancelled. I have a lot to be thankful for as I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant (4th round IVF FET) but am feeling really worried today. Today was my last day of pessaries and estrogen tablets as for some reason my clinic stop them 7 weeks after transfer. I had a missed miscarriage last year where baby stopped growing at 9 weeks - right around the time I stopped my meds. I’ve raised concerns multiple times with the clinics as I know most places keep people on them til 12 weeks, but every time I asked about it they just said there’s no evidence to show it’s necessary after 9 weeks... I can’t help but feel really worried and am just looking for reassurance- has anyone else stopped around this time and it’s been ok?

Worried about stopping meds 10 weeks pregnant after FET
Im sorry to hear about your misscarriage lmnox I'm also about to stop my injections as I'm entering week 10 but I am continuing my pessearies until week 14? But Im worried too, because this is my first IVF cycle and dont know what to expect. Last time were there signs to say the baby had stopped growing and are those signs evident this time? Fingers crossed for both of us.
Hiya I'm 10 + 5 and I was told to stop my proestrogen pesseries after my viability scan at 7 weeks. This is my 1st cycle and I don't really know any different I've just done what the clinic said. Not much help for you but I hope it reassures you people stop at different times 🤷♀️ sorry I cant be more useful. Fingers crossed for you x
If you want to stay on them till week 12/13 then you should. There is not harm too and most women, like myself, do stay on them until the placenta takes over in week 13 x
If you feel that your mind will be at ease carry on with them you must not ask them but tell them it’s you what’s paying for treatment if you want to be on them you should
I'm the same well they gave me pessaries and estrogen up 2 12 weeks. But they gave me more progesterone then I needed so I took it up to 16 weeks still worries me especially progesterone levels xxxx
Hi Imno. Congratulations on getting to this point and sorry you're having anxiety. It's hard because we want to trust our clinics. They do know more than us! But, I have to say that personally I would want to continue taking until 12 weeks. No specific reason, I would just feel I had more peace of mind. I really haven't done enough research in to it, though, so if your clinic is saying it's not necessary after 9 weeks (based on scientific evidence) then that makes sense. It's annoying that different clinics say different things, though! Have you done much research on it? Just to reassure yourself! xxxxx
I stopped my injections around week 11, however I have been on vaginal progesterone since due to my cervix shortening. I'm now almost 23 weeks and still taking it. I think it just depends on your body and what you're able to produce. Mine obviously needs the extra progesterone to keep going. I would definitely at least ask again about the progesterone.
