Today I’ve woken up with low back ache and my tummy feels solid and bit achy.
I’ve recently got a BFP and I’m waiting for my first scan on the 31st. My question is is this normal? Can it be the progesterone I’m in 800mg a day of utrogestan. I’m so worried.
Thanks all in advance.

I’m currently 5 and a half weeks an i feel like this on and off. I’m trying not to panic and telling myself its my body starting to adjust. That being said progesterone can also mimic PMS symptoms so could very well be that.
Not to long to wait til your scan 🙂 sending you lots of love ☀️ xx
I’m 5 and a half too. Ive had this on and off last two days but woke up this morning and can feel the backache abit more. And my tummy feels bit more solid if that makes sense.
I feel like everyday I’m worrying about something.
All the reading ive done online says about this time cramping, backache, fatigue is all normal. I have it all .. mind you its hard to tell whats symptom and whats not being so active due to self isolation 🤦🏻♀️
Give your clinic a call if you’re concerned but im just they’ll tell you this is normal. Its such an anxious time xx
Omg I’d be going out if my mind waiting till then lol!
Thank you for the reassurance! I think if it dies off abit throughout the day I’ll feel better. Might go for a social distance walk see if it make any difference.
Hey Sarah, I would give your clinic a call. Progesterone can make your tummy swell up for sure but it shouldnt cause you pain. However that said many ladies get period type pains when pregnant so it could be that and also your body starts changing and things start stretching. Like I said this could all be normal but you could check in with your clinic and even ask if they can check your progesterone levels to see if you are getting enough. Its all such a worry isnt it! We pray for that magical BFP but nothing prepares you for the level of anxiety that goes with it!xx
Ha ha ha I think we all think we do our clinics head in! Dont worry, that's what they're there for! I think what you are describing sounds about right, light AF pains but I havent gotten too far myself in the past so perhaps some of the others can help ease your mind. Best of luck for scan when it comes.xx
This is totally normal! Progesterone makes you really bloated, it’s gets worse the longer you’re on it 🙈 I’ve just finished mine a few days ago at 12 weeks and the difference is noticeable already!
The period type pains and achey back is normal, your uterus is stretching so try not to worry. I know that wait for the first scan is torture but it all sounds like it’s going in the right direction so think positive ♥️ xx
