*SENSITIVE* - HCG and Progesterone question

Hello lovelies,

I hope you warriors are all good.

I’m really sorry for anyone that doesn’t need to see this today (heaven knows I’ve felt like that at times). For fellow low amh-ers, I hope this brings you hope.

To my absolute shock, on Saturday my husband and I had our first BFP! It was our last dummy cycle on mild stims before moving to egg banking. I have low amh (increased after endo surgery from 0.6 pmol to 1.2 pmol / 0.16 ngml), been TTC for 2 years, with no glimmer.

This morning I had my progesterone and HCG Beta blood tests. But I have struggled to find online a consistent (or recent) indication of what numbers I should be hitting. We had 4 large follicles (so potentially 4 eggs - possibly multiples… I know this was a huge risk!), so I’m not sure if multiples would spike/ skew the HCG results either. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on HCG and progesterone numbers please?

Thank you so much x 💕🍀🤞🏼🙏🏼

Congratulations!! HCG varies per person and pregnancy. I’m carrying twins and my HCG was high @ 9dp5dt (just shy of 800). But I’ve heard of others with really high carrying singletons, and again others carrying twins with low HCG.

I’m not sure on progesterone tbh, mine were really high numbers but I was on a lot of support. Maybe someone else can shed some light.

That is a strong line though so I wouldn’t worry too much and just enjoy it all 💖 xxx

Hi Lulu, congratulations. The HCG ranges are huge, mine on 9dp5dt was 32. Try not to obsess over them if you can - I did and it was a tricky and emotional few weeks but I’ve hit my third trimester and he is kicking away. Your clinic should guide you on whether you need to repeat any tests. Good luck for your pregnancy! xx

Hi, I had my transfer on the 23rd and it was a Day5, I have to do the blood test on Dec 7th. I was told that the HCG was having to be 50 or more to be a clear positive, and something between 5 and 50 will require to go and see them.

Keep in mind that the levels should change depending on the day, so what I have told you, might not be exactly the same for you.

xx

Fingers crossed for the 7th hun 🤞🏼🙏🏼🍀 Hope to see you reporting a BFP on here.Yes my clinic have similar targets - so you are right there! Thank you hun x 💕

Hi lovely, the HCG numbers vary massively from one person to the next so try not to get too caught up on it!On day 9 mine was 237 (singleton pregnancy) and my progesterone was 117 (I was on 2 x lubion and 3 x cyclogest a day)

For a viable pregnancy my clinic likes HCG to be over 100 and progesterone over 50 - but clinics vary so much too...

Anyway, massive congratulations!! Enjoy every moment xxx

Hey Millbanks, I hope you’re doing okay.My clinic had exactly the same parameters - y results were 260 progesterone and 945 HCG (11 dpo). Symptoms are started to ease off now, but getting to that worrying stage now, which I’m trying to fight! Xx

Don’t worry about symptoms at this stage, most things will likely be caused by the meds anyway. Best of luck xx

Congratulations!

Both my pregnancies the HCG varied. The main importance is that hcg number doubles every 48 hours. If they don't double it likely won't be good news.

My clinic insisted progesterone levels be above 100 so I was on prontogest. Idea important to keep them high and his you no harm.

Best of luck!

Thank you for responding hun. It’s good to know that there isn’t an “average” and just needs to be above a certain point for reassurance! Thank you again 💕 xx
