Collected blood test results and no ovulation this month 😕 what could I have done differently

I’m on my way to Budapest with some friends for the weekend. I did some blood test on Wednesday (on day 22) and I went to collect it just to know if I can enjoy a drink or two while on holiday or not. I’m having mild pains in both ovaries but my period is due in 5-6 days. I mainly requested this to check if I’ve ovulated and the result is ‘Low progesterone. No ovulation.’ Progesterone is very low <1 nmol/L. I don’t get it, I’ve literally done everything in my power to ovulate this month, why this low result! 😕

They also checked my TSH and T4 level (Thyroid) and Diabetes and they are all normal 🙏🏻 at least this!

I really thought I would be pregnant by my due date at the end of this month but no chance! ☹️

Oh that sucks! Question: if you don’t ovulate due to low progesterone, will you still get a period?

Hi lovely. Sorry to hear this. Super unfair. We do everything we possibly can and it's just not fair that it doesn't give us the results that we should have. Try to enjoy Budapest. x

Thank you, will do! I’m having a nice glass of wine... until I can! 💕

Oh Francy I’m sorry to hear! And I literally have no answer for you 🙈🙈🙈I have no idea what could have caused no ovulation...maybe hormonal imbalance? See that progesterone is low- what about estrogen? (FSH)

Do you have PCOS? Have you checked that?

Don’t think about it now though, enjoy your weekend with friends and the wine 🍷😉💋

Sending love 💗

Hi, when you have PCOS, you sometimes just don't ovulate, is a hormonal imbalance. The only thing that you can do is trying to improve the symptoms like healthy activity and weight, myo-inositol, low carb diet or Metformin but even if you do all if this it will not guarantee ovulation. There are meds to help ovulation though. Some people are successful with Clomid or Letrozole or IUIs. For me none of this worked as I either release no egg or make too many, but lots of women get pregnant this way. Hope you find something that works for you!

I have Pcos and even managed to get pregnant naturally with just 2 months of acupuncture and herbal medicine, I ovulated 2 months in a row and got pregnant. I’m not sure why that’s not working anymore! I’m eating clean, lost weights, doing it all. I didn’t try medication like Metformin and Clomid though. Thank you 😊

Maybe this month is just the odd one out then and next one you ovulate again. Good luck 😊
