Hi all, My next cycle will be a medicated FET. Just wondering what the timing and of a medicated FET cycle is and if meds start on a specific cycle day or not? What kind of meds and scans should I be expecting. Just some general info about timings and the workings of FET would be appreciated.

Well my FET was :
Day 2 cycle :Start taking 3 estrogen tablets on day 2 of cycle
9 days later a lining scan
2 days later started progesterone gels for 5 days
Then transfer
Think this version is medicated but didn’t feel too stressful .
Thank you Rhinocat... so no buserelin for you? I’ve not heard of it and didn’t see it on my meds list for the next cycle but both Lauracat and runuphill is taking it.
It seems quite straightforward. Have you used the progesterone suppositories at any time and is the gel more tolerable?

Think mine must have been a mild version of medicated FET .
My clinic do progesterone gels , which have loads of waxy residue that comes out after so not sure which is best.
I’m starting cycle two on Monday with a nursing consent appointment to plan and order drugs for next cycle of follicle growing etc.
It never ceases to amaze me how the clinic’s differ in their practice , but we as women are all different and I guess they have figured out what is best for each ladies scenario .

It depends if you're downregging first. I did and started buserelin on day 21 until 7 days into subsequent period when i started oestrogen (keeping going with buserelin) until lining scan and then when i started progesterone i stopped the buserelin. It took 5-6 weeks in total.
Thank you for sharing. My clinic said the whole process will take 17 days. I won’t be doing the prostap injection this time either. I’ve not come across buserelin
I questioned my dr about if I needed the prostap for my next cycle and he said yes because my bloods proved to be good after it even though my egg result was low .
Started buserelin & progynova day 2 of period
Scan on day 11 lining only 6.1
Another scan day 14 lining 6.8
Last scan tomorrow to see if it’s grown any more .. if so transfer will be 5 days later xx
Hi Lauracat.. thank you for the info... very useful... if the norm is a day 2 start then hopefully I will start when I am back from holiday... i’m Travelling the Progynova just in case...
