Getting quite bad headaches on progynova for my FET cycle. I know you shouldn’t take ibuprofen after transfer but what about before transfer? Paracetamol not really touching the sides! Argh!

hello, I know the feeling, they’re horrible! The advice my clinic gave me is no ibuprofen throughout treatment, just paracetamol. I found drinking water and lying down helped xx

I know it’s not the most practical thing when you’re working 🤦🏻‍♀️

The first few days are tough but it got easier for me around day 5 or 6. Hang in there xx

Haha I’m on day 10 of taking them 😂 to be fair I didn’t really get any symptoms until day 6 so this must be my ‘worse’ stage xx

Hi Esb. Sorry, but no anti inflammatories throughout treatment and pregnancy. As the meds mostly act on the pituitary gland in the brain, drinking extra water often helps. If really bad, perhaps your GP can help with a different pain killer, but be careful not to get constipated, as many of the stronger ones contain codeine which can constipate. Do try the water and hope it soon settles. Hope all goes well with the transfer, and it is successful. Diane

Hi Diane, figured as much but thanks for coming back to me! To be fair, sometimes paracetamol does help, just not all the time. Will call the doc if they get really bad though, good shout. Am drinking lots of water already, around 2.5-3L a day so I should be well hydrated lol. Thanks for the well wishes, it's much appreciated!

I was told Ibrofen can mess with your lining when preparing for a FET as well so to avoid if possible. The headaches in the meds are rubbish I just kept myself topped up with paracetamol and I also found if I moved my vitiman to layer in the day it helped (don’t know why 🤷🏻‍♀️) hope you feel better soon xx

Ah that's interesting Twiglet2, thanks! Yeah I've noticed that since regularly taking paracetamol it's helping more than just taking them sporadically. Oh interesting, maybe i'll take my vitamins later in the afternoon then haha, i'll try anything! Thanks so much xx
