So i came back from my 3rd scan for my natural cycle transfer and my follicle has grown to 16mm (it was 12 or 13mm on Mon) and my lining is 8.3mm today, 8.8mm on Mon, today is day 12 of my cycle. They are saying things are happening slower than expected and they might cancel this cycle. My cycles are around 30 to 32 days and ovulation is on 16,17th day which means it should be in the next 3 to 4 days. I am doing pee ovulation tests at home, nothing yet.
I was hoping for a thicker lining since the follicle has been growing(although slower than expected) and on top of all they said the lining will get thinner by 20% around the day of the transfer- maybe because of the trigger injection? I am reading everywhere the lining should be above 7-8mm which means mine wouldn't be suitable for a transfer?! I am very worried and confused. Should they give me estrogen before the trigger? Can someone explain the process to me please?
I know if things don't work out they will cancel the transfer but i am so sick and tired of waiting. Always been having an ovulation, good size follicles and perfect lining. Is it a sign?
Also, i will be taking a fluconazole pill because i am having a bit of a discharge down there- sorry for sharing too much!!
Any similar experiences and advises please? I feel like its not meant to be!

No wonder you’re confused! When you ovulate, the progesterone that is released thickens the lining so I don’t really get why yours could possibly be an issue.
My lining was nowhere near the thickness of yours at my last scan and they were happy to go ahead after I ovulated. I am also taking progesterone 3x day but when I had my transfer they didn’t question it.
I haven’t had a trigger but I do know that progesterone thickens it and your body will do that naturally so really by the time you come to transfer 6 days after ovulation, you’re lining should be fine.
Day 12 is still very early too so to have 8.8 already, even if it did drop by 20% it should still be thick enough for transfer as it would I have thickened more so.
Thanks a lot, CLD. The doctor told me my lining will get a bit thinner after the trigger injection for my ovulation which made me very confused. I read some articles online and indeed- lining gets thinner which doesn't make sense! Implantation requires thick and healthy lining. Also, i was able to see the 3 lines which is a good sign but still cant understand the part with the thinner lining. I'm praying my lining will become thicker by Fri and we will go ahead with the transfer next week.
What was your lining on the day of the transfer? Was it successful?
Yes that does make sense with the trigger - so glad I didn’t have one now as I’ve always had problems with my lining!
The three lines is a great sign and I do think that where your lining is already is a great sign! It’s only going to thicken and yes will decrease with trigger but I still think it will be at the measurement required!
They’re didn’t tell me! As they didn’t do an internal scan but I asked and they said all looked fine so I’m just really hoping it was.
My average the day before ovulation was 6.9 and they said that would thicken when I ovulated and also with the progesterone meds I’m taking.
I had my transfer yesterday and it was my first one so 🤞xxx
Oh god, I have no idea on lining thicknesses. There's too much to know in this. It's all very confusing!
Your clinic should be giving you more information, though, in this very anxious time! Definitely give them a ring tomorrow with your many questions. Never feel like it's not meant to be. You're doing everything you can, and make sure you get the support from your clinic that you need. xxxxx
