Its my first egg collection in my natural modified cycle in the morning, am pretty nervous to say the least. I have one big follicle and thats the one they will try to get, was told it would only take 10 to 15 mins to do. Im worried i might have ovulated naturally already, and not been told about what happens after regarding meds. Do you have to take progesterone in this type of cycle, will i be scanned before transfer to check all is ok? If all goes well the transfer will be day 2 or 3 because of the type of cycle we are doing.
I mean, they must have to check my lining and stuff right?
Why i didnt think of all this when we were there yesterday 😭

Thankyou, i hope so. On here lots of women talk about being in a lot of pain after, so i just dont know what to expect with that side of things either.
I realise that hunny, but thats not what i was worried about. It was just to know what happens with the procedure in my cycle as ive not done this before and want to make sure we have given it our best shot. I would be angry at myself if i found out i could have done something that i didnt to give us a better chance.
Hi there, it is not bad at all compared to laperoscopy. The thought is the worst part. Just take it really easy and don’t sit up too fast after the egg collection is done:). Wishing you the best of luck. I am not sure about the process for your type of IVF. I am sure you can call them today to reassure yourself. X
Youre right Telford, ive been through much worse, but i will be awake so its a bit of an odd feeling knowing that. Ill be sedated but only enough to make me drowsey. I think i might just try to fall asleep anyway lol. She said i wont need painkillers? Im hoping she is right. Ill ask everything tomorrow and make sure we both know exactly what we are doing, it just dawned on me today that i knew everything up to this point only 😬x
Yes that is a bit odd knowing your awake! I guess just have to put your faith in the doctors. Can u take a stress ball or something to focus on?! Good luck.
Thankyou cinderella, one less thing to worry about then as its not really been mentioned so must mean its ok. I wont lie, i will be glad when its all over! I see videos of women and theyre so excited to get the eggs, im just thinking of having a long probe with a needle shoved up me at the moment!xx
Good luck with egg collection tomorrow! Your clinic will decide if you need to take progesterone etc., but if you have any questions give them a call! Give them a call now if they're open! This is a very stressful process, and I can imagine you're anxious to know everything. That, or you can wait until tomorrow when you see them. Write all your questions down! Take them with you. Best wishes. xxxxxx
Thankyou ttcemmie, i will make sure they cover everything tomorrow. They always ask if we have any questions but can never think at the time. Our nurse we have had all the way through wont be there as its her day off, id feel more confident about it if she were there xx
