I am going through a natural cycle transfer and today i went for my 2nd scan. Is day 10 of my cycle and my cycles are usually around 30-31 days long. Ovulation should be around day 15-16. Lining was fine- 9mm but the dominant follicle was too small, in fact all follicles were similar sizes- around 10-11mm. The consultant was checking to make sure the ovulation hasn't passed? She couldn't see any liquid which meant it hasn't passed yet and she booked me in for another scan on Wed. I need to start doing ovulation tests from tomorrow.
Have any of you experienced something like that and what was the outcome? I am scared my ovulation has already passed or i might not have one this month and the transfer will be cancelled.

I’m also doing a natural and when they thought I had what they call ‘corpus luteum’ ( which is basically the liquid you mention)as I had two dominant follicles - one on each ovary and I know I ovulated on my left the month before. They carried out a blood test to check my progesterone as it should be 0 until you ovulate. They said if it wasn’t 0, they would I cancel my transfer - luckily it was.
I wonder if you could request this to be certain?
Thing is every cycle is different so try not to be too concerned about where you are this time as mine was also different to last month - I’d been checking my ovulation the month before too so I knew for certain.
Hi Rubunoto. I would have thought that Day 10 would be too early for you to ovulate on your cycle length. Perhaps on Wednesday you will have better news. i hope so. Diane
Hi, my cycles are 31 days and i ovulate naturally on day 17. It sounds like its too early to me. I just did a modified natural cycle which worked well so far. I just had egg collection today and two dominent follicles instead of one, and they got 2 eggs. My clinic have been great at doing it by giving my natural cycle just a little boost. Without the few meds i had, i would have another week before they were ready, day 10 is very early for a long cycle so try not to worry x
Thank you a lot. I think they might give me a trigger injection for my ovulation but not sure if that could replace the ovulation in general- i might have an anovulatory cycle this month. All kinds of ideas in my head right now and a bit paranoid. I will see how everything is going on Wednesday...
