Medicated FET

Heyyy lovely ladies, hope you are all well and happy and enjoyable the summer 🤗🤗🤗🤗

I'm soon to start my first fet once af shows her face, so hopefully around 28th of this month.

I will be doing estrogen tablets from day one of my next bleed and will have a scan around day 10-12 and as soon as they are happy with my lining I will be on pressaries and lubion injections. And hopefully will have transfer around 3rd week of August.

As this is my first fet and I don't really know how it works I was wondering if I ovulate will they cancel the transfer? Or it doesn't really matter? I have no trigger and nothing really explained about how the fet works. They've given me a paper with the protocol and the timing but just need some more info to know if I should be prepared for chances of a cancelled cycle etc?

You shouldn't ovulate, the idea is the estrogen tablets are enough suppress it. It sounds exactly like the protocol I did for my FET and it was fine -although I found the progesterone made me feel really impatient and really hungry for the first few days!! Hope AF shows up on time- I remember mine was a couple of days late before the FET and it seemed like forever. Best of luck sweetie xxx

That's what I was thinking as well and I will be taking it 3 times a day so fingers crossed will be fine!

It looks like we’ll have our FET’s around the same time 😊.

Like the other ladies have said the Estrogen will stop you ovulating so should be less chance of a cancellation with a medicated FET.

I’m on the same, but with an added Prostap injection already to bring on my period (which still hasn’t arrived🤦‍♀️) x

Def always the way a. V infuriating 😤 yeah am only a tiny bit late usually start on day 25-28 and now on day 30 and no sign yet but reck my body must know am waiting to start again as I was late starting the last time I started treatment too. Grr. Had some reflexology yesterday so am hoping that will help shift things ☺️

Hi, great news you are starting again.

I did the progynova only protocol, I did one tablet per day on day 1-5, 2 per day on d 6-9 then 3 tabs per day. They considered giving me cetrotide too but chose to monitor me closely instead (d5,8,12)and just add in if needed. My lining was 12mm on d8 but they left me until d12 then booked my transfer, I didn’t ovulate.

Awww thank you. That sounds reassuring I will be taking progynova 3 times a day from day 1 of my bleed. I hope the same, fingers for an August BFP 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤞🤞🤞

I'm having FET at the minute and all going well transfer booked for the 29th. They've never mentioned any possibility of ovulating so I presume the medication stops that from happening. Very best of luck xo

I see others have replied but this is the protocol that I usually do, much better that down regulating! You shouldnt ovulate as progynova is meant to supress it but they can check on scan for follicles when you have your lining scan. Wishing you all the luck in the world! Hope this is the one!xx

Hey 👋 I’m waiting with you (and some others!) for af and to start medicated fet this way. Obviously af has gone missing 🙄 🤷‍♀️ 😆 Last fet I did included bruserelin 📛 so I’m hoping this way is a bit nicer!! Also hoping I don’t develop any follicles / cysts (which I’m prone to) otherwise I think it gets postponed. Best of luck to you 😄🤞💪💫🙏♥️ It’s got to be our time! xxx

Hi Hun, I’m on my 2nd FET this time we opt for medicated. Our natural FET didn’t worked and we only have 2 Frosties left.

I’ve started northestirone last Tuesday and I’ll have buserelin injection to downreg on Monday. I have a different protocol. They’ve given me buserelin and trigger shot injection. Maybe worth asking your clinic?

I hope and pray Aug month will be kind & special for us all going through whatever protocol or cycle. Good luck and all the best hun Xxxx

I’ve just done that protocol and they saw at my scan that I was about to ovulate (my body tends to do what it wants!) so they brought my transfer forward by a few days so that my implantation window would be aligned. I’m pregnant now so it hasn’t done any harm. You probably won’t ovulate but even if you did they can rescue it. Wishing you lots of luck with your transfer xx
