Hi, i have a book that says, ivf.org.uk says 40’s average is 5 and by 45 it’s 2.5. Maybe have a look on that website for more info though xx

This might help with an explanation. simply-fertility.com/a-guid...

I am 40 with AMH of 8.4. There were 11 follicles counted in my baseline. The consultants all said that was good/fine for my age.

Thanks that’s really useful x

My amh was 11.5 at 41 and then 3.3 at 42 and now I'm not bothering with it anymore because all of this was completed uncorrelated to the many eggs I produce during rounds...a consultant also told me that the real measure of your amh is how your body reacts to stimulation.

Love this thanks x

Mines 3.4pmol or 0.46ng/ml it is low I’m just turning 40 I’ve conceived 4 times naturally in the last 2 1/2 years and mc maybe my times up and need to just accept it now.

in reply to

I am not sure its time to give up quite yet - are you thinking of moving to full IVF yet?

in reply to

No I don’t think ivf is an option for us so natural or nothing

Think mine was 16.2 when I tested a year or so ago - have always had 18 follicles so think that’s consistent?? xx

Mines 2.8 at 40, always have 5 follicles. Mine is on the low side because endometriosis damages your ovarian reserve, so it all depends on personal circumstance. Ive seen ladies on here get pregnant with practically 0 amh levels. The way i see it is if youve got follicles and ovulating you have eggs in there somewhere, concentrating on the quality is more important x

Love that attitude thank you it’s a real boost xx

We still have some good eggs thats a fact, we may not be lucky enough to get them but maybe we will. Its harder yes, but not impossible xx

Hi Daisy1245,

Mine was 23.6 a year back and I have just gone 42.I can imagine it will have dropped alot now though.I only got 1 5AB embryo transferred a year back from round 1.Got 11 eggs,5 fertilized.Had the other 4 go to day 5 but not good enough to freeze.

You beautiful girls don’t have to be upset because you have low AMH. Higher AMH doesn’t necessarily meant more success. I am still quite young and I have 35 AMH, my doctor said “you must be an egg machine”, not the case of course- first retrieval 6 eggs only 3 mature, second 7 eggs and 5 mature. So, am I an egg machine?!?

Keep your hopes up! All the best! 💓

Bless you thank you for the words of encouragement xx

Hi Daisy.

When mine was tested a year ago (at age 30) it was 11 p/mol but then got 15 eggs which resulted in 6 blastos via ICSI (1 transferred and 5 frozen). Reason for infertility is due to both me and hubbys sperm. Think Dr was surprised tbh so not really sure how it all adds up!

Good luck xx💕

Wow great haul of eggs! Hope you get your BFP soon xx

Thanks hun, hopefully we are both very close to getting those sticky BFPs and healthy and happy pregnancies/babies! Xx

Mine is very low. I had it tested 5 years ago at 32 & it was just above 4 which is very low for that range. Anyway despite this I had a successful pregnancy after my endo had been treated. God knows how low it is now! It’s quality over quantity & only takes one special egg 😍 I’ve been reading your story & think you’re due some luck. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Thanks so much - was lovely to see your baby news. I am trying to channel some positivity xx
