I had a load of bloods done ahead of my fresh round in January and not sure what’s normal? Mine has come out as 34.5? My clinic only emailed me the results and didn’t give much further information.....

Hi

I was told normal is between 9-29, mine was 43.3 ive Just turned 30 and when I looked at the consultant scared to death he said that’s good as the higher the number the better and indicates your ovarian reserve is good. Since then I’ve read that a really high reading could indicate polycystic ovaries but my consultant never mentioned that so I presume really high is way above 43. I’d say email the clinic and ask them to explain your AMH but from my experience it’s a good sign xx

Hi lianm8

Not sure what the levels are supposed to me for different age ranges.

But i am 36 and my AMH is 2.4! And i know that is extremely low.

Don’t get stressed out about it as I am sure if 34.5 was low they would have told you. Can you ask them to explain it? Good luck in your journey xx

Yes I think I will - I have a nurses consultation on the 18th so think il ask then. Not really helpful sending the results with no information! Xxx

Hi,

I had mine recently - came out as 55 but I have known poly cystic overies and high AMH is consistent with that.

It means I am being put on a short protical and will be monitoried closely as my clinic explained it’s easy to over stimulate the ovaries when the amh is high.

Don’t worry about it though - higher is better then lower. Might just mean they need to keep a closer eye on you.

Have you had your baseline scan yet?

X

On my last fresh round I was on the borderline for OHSS so I assume it’s all related. I think il be on short protocol again but not sure I’m sure il learn more at my nurses appointment. No baseline scan yet waiting until my cycle next month to start! can’t believe I’m putting myself through it all again so quickly. How are you getting on? X

I think that sounds quite promising as the higher the AMH the greater your ovarian reserve should be.

Hopefully you get a chance to discuss it with your clinic ahead of your treatment in January.

Sending you lots of lunch and new very best wishes for the road ahead x

I had AMH of 164! And yes I do have PcOS (32 yrs old) so was put on short protocol too.

I have had missed periods for many years and was not ovulating so I guess I was just saving them all up for now (!)

That sounds like a good number so hopefully all works out for you xx
