Hi, I just received my amh levels which are at 1.1 with the doctor telling me that this is extremely low and it’s likely that I won’t get any eggs with ivf treatment. Has anyone gone on to have a successful egg collection and pregnancy with low amh in their early 40s? I currently have a 2 year old who was conceived through ivf. I’m not sure what to do, my doctor has always been negative even before this result!xx

Low amh of 1.1 in early 40s, successful IVF?
Hi Robbinbird. Yes, that is very low, you know that, but just occasionally I do hear of successes with similar even a bit lower results. Just get 2 or 3 eggs and fertilised 1 or 2 with success! Of course this does not often happen, but it can. I’m sure someone willl jump on with their positive story. Good luck. Diane
Hey
I’m 30 so a bit younger, but my AMH was read at 1 in Sept 2021 and retested July 23 it was 3.3. Still extremely low regardless of the fluctuations in results.
We did do IVF in Nov 23 and got 6 eggs, 4 mature, 3 fertilised and 2 embryos. Unfortunately they didn’t stick, but I just wanted to give you a little hope that you can still get eggs.
When I got my result in 2021 the NHS were so negative, and although I was due a free round, they mentioned twice about Donor eggs🫠. We conceived naturally a couple months later, so clearly things weren’t that bad x
Hi Robin, my AMH was 3.8 when last measured but that was a while ago so I suspect it’s lower by now. I had two eggs collected in November, one fertilised and I’m about to have frozen transfer. Someone on here mentioned natural or modified IVF is good for women with low AMH so I wonder if that might be worth looking into. Wishing you lots of luck xx
My AMH was 0.8 when tested two years ago (at age 33). We've had 3 egg collections, the first two we only got 1 egg but fertilised both times (1 resulting in BFN and 1 miscarriage). The third cycle we got 2 eggs but unfortunately neither fertilised. It's definitely possible to get eggs with very low AMH, just not many.Wishing you all the best x
Thank you! That sounds hopeful, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, it’s rotten when that happens. Fingers crossed for you in the future xx
just wanted to say hi,
I'm 40 nearly 41 and we've been trying for a sibling for my son who was also ivf, we had 3 Frosties which we used in 22 & 23 , 2 was unsuccessful and 1 was but ended in a miscarriage
We are just waiting for my husbands test to come back to discuss further about fresh cycle, so I don't have any answers but just wanted to stop by say hi x
Hi, thanks, we had two frozen put in last year as well and one ended in a miscarriage too. I think we are still going to go along this week to talk more about it as if we don’t try we will never know and then we can move on if it doesn’t work, all the best with your husbands test results xx
