Cancelled again!

After 31 days of buserelin and 2 periods my body has decided to grow another new follicle and my lining is still thick so my cycle has been cancelled again! My clinic have been very lovely and I saw a consultant straight away who has planned a short protocol for me. Now..more waiting! Time to pull myself together and get ready for it!

Oh no April! Sorry to hear that. Glad at least that you've already got a new plan in place. Sometimes you just want to crack on and try again So it's good your consultant seems supportive. Still, I'm sorry it's more waiting for you xx

Thank you. My lining is always thick but when down regulating it seems I always grow a follicle which secretes oestrogen and it thickens my lining. They want it below 5mm they think for some reason in the first cycle I have after a failed pregnancy my body doesn’t respond to the buserelin (this is my second time of failing to respond) x

Im so exhausted too!! Cycle is not going to plan!!😕 we got 8 mature eggs then got the news that OH sperm had deteriorated significantly. We have 5 fertilised eggs & just have to sit tight now till day 5. Not getting any Hope's up, we may get to day 5 with nothing!🤯😔xx

Thank you I’m really hoping so. Long protocol is just so ridiculously long. My clinic even do long down reg FET cycles as standard! They say I might get less eggs on the short protocol and they’ve upped my menopur dose from my last cycle, it was 18m ago now though x

Honestly it’s so much better. I did three fresh cycles on long and then one on short, it was a walk in the park by comparison!

They do normally say that but I got the same amount of eggs on short as long so don’t worry about that too much xxx

Oh I’m so sorry, it’s awful when a cycle gets cancelled!! I’m in the same boat with 2 cancelled in a row now so totally understand the disappointment and frustration of having to wait again. I’m glad to hear you already have a plan in place with a short protocol. Fingers crossed this change does the trick for you xx

Thank you. Sorry to hear about your cancelled cycles, it just leaves you feeling so hopeless. I’m very impressed with my clinic allowing me to get a plan before I left and definitely feel better knowing they are changing things up. Do you have a plan? X

After my cancelled cycle in at the beginning of Dec they referred me for a hysteroscopy but there was a 3 month waiting list!! So they let let me have another attempt at treatment in Jan but then that got cancelled on Saturday. So now I’m waiting for the hysteroscopy which is booked for March (I kept the appointment booked in Dec, otherwise I’d have been waiting till end of April ☹️)

The waiting is awful and I’m totally anxious that they’ll find another problem to overcome, but I keep reminding myself that I want my uterus I’m the best condition for that precious embryo. It’s great that your clinic got a plan in place so quickly. It definitely makes the wait a little easier knowing what your next steps are xx
