Hello
Well after that dramatic will they/won’t they egg collection last week. I got 13 eggs however as I was warned, due to my drop in oestrogen, only 6 were mature and three fertilised normally.
During my egg collection and my lining was only measuring at 6mm so I came back in on the Thursday to discuss embryo quality and see what my lining was doing and options based on these with the consultant. So my lining was still measuring thin (5.9mm) and of the three embryos one was high quality and the other two were low. So we were still hoping to freeze on Saturday due to my lining.
On Saturday though I got a call from the embryologist saying that my one good embryo was a little slow so it was a ‘hatching morula’ not a full blastocyst yet. And the other two embryos hadn’t progressed. This then gave us a dilemma as they could only freeze the following day if appropriate quality. But can only transfer on day 5 and my lining wasn’t looking great.
So a bit of a rock and a hard place.
Anyway we decided to transfer!! So not a full blastocyst but the embryologist said since she had phoned me in the morning it had developed even more and was looking good. When the consultant was scanning me (abdominal scan) for the embryo transfer she also said my lining had finally thickened!! They couldn’t measure it but both her and the nurse both said it looked great too.
Test day is the 4th. 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Any tips for this period I’ve been drinking lots of water, eating pineapple and taking it easy since Saturday.
Xx
