Started my down reg injections on 25th, no issues.
The next day I didn't put enough pressure behind it and it felt like it bounced off, but managed to overcome that and did it.
Day 3, I just couldn't do it.. Sat there for what felt like ages and could feel myself getting stressed so my hubby did it and I got him to do day 4 as well.
I don't mind injections, it doesn't hurt, so why has my head gone to pot?
I know that as long as it gets done, then it doesn't matter who does it, but I'm just frustrated.
Anyone else had anything similar?

Hi there, I was the same hun my hubby did all my injections for me as i wasn't brave enough to do them my self lol there was one occasion where it hurt that much the following day i wouldn't let him any where near me. I found looking away while he did my injections for me was alot easier and they were over before i knew it im not a be fan of needles any way. So maybe get your hubby to help you in doing them, but try not to tense up while doing them they do get easier. Good luck to you in doing them XX
I don't like needles either. I was surprised that I managed to do the injections in my tummy but I got hubby to do the progesterone injections, although they hurt a bit more he was very gentle. If I can't see the injection going in it seems to help so I used to stick the needle in my tummy without looking at it, then checking it was in before pressing the liquid in.
It doesn't matter who does the injection as long as it's done. I tried to see it as part of the process and get it done as quickly as possible.
I've not started mine yet,but I know I will be a complete wreck!! I just had the surgery I needed before I can start my ivf/icsi and I had to do 5 days of anti blood clotting drugs into my tummy!! When they came to show me how to do it, she was like "do this..do that... Put it in... Wait for the click" and walked off...I remeber giving her a look of utter horror, just thinking how am I ever going to be able to do this for the ivf.. I had to get my partner to do the second day.. I don't have any issues with needles, and can give injections to others with no issues.. But my for those 3 days I had to do it myself at 5pm I'd had to start giving myself a pep talk needle in hand ....so By the time 6pm came I could actually stick it in, and I think one I got so over worked up I literally ended up stabbing myself, I've still got the bruising left now!! So I told my partner when we start next month if he's working at the time of my injections I will be going with him! It's that simple!!
I wish you all the luck for both your injections and the progress of your treatment.
I think in fact, by me not being able to carry on doing them for what ever reason has meant my husband has been involved in the process a lot more = makes him happier.
