Second month of trying naturally after failed FET. Honestly donāt think I have it in me. Itās too stressful. It brings back all the bad memories of trying naturally a few years ago. Getting chemical pregnancies, false positives and late periods.
All my time is spent wondering if I have ovulated or if I am pregnant. My husbands sperm count is so severe that I really feel it would be easier to win the lottery than get pregnant naturally.
I really had hope for us. I got all the vitamins, ovulation sticks and fertility gels but I just feel itās all pointless.
Is it only me that weirdly finds ICSI easier than trying naturally...feels more controlled š
I have an appointment at the clinic this week so will be giving a fresh cycle a go in Feb/March

Yes! My partners spent count is terrible 1-2 million per ml, he thinks it will happen naturally and I just canāt believe it will! It has once before and we have a lovely daughter who is almost 6 from it but 4 years of trying since and nothing!! She took us well over 2 years to conceive and we were both younger then. ICSI would be easier if only I could down regulate! My body is so desperate to ovulate I grew a follicle despite the drugs and Iām in limbo on buserelin waiting for a bleed..also 2 months of trying naturally wasted! Good luck with your cycle xx
Iāve had a trigger shot to make me ovulate from the follicle and Iām still on buserelin awaiting a bleed hopefully next week. Itās the second time Iāve failed to down reg (4th time in total) but I wasnāt offered a trigger last time and my cycle was eventually cancelled, Iām really hoping it wonāt be cancelled again but Iām just having to wait and see š¤x
I definitely find ICSI less stressful than trying naturally. There's slightly more to have control over - the injections etc. and there's a loose schedule with different stages to it. To be honest, it's all stressful, though!
Itās heart breaking when it doesnāt work all that effort put in and the embryos donāt make it š¢ but I would do ICSI every moth over trying naturally lol just couldnāt afford it šš xxx
I hear you! We tried naturally for a year and then did seven months of āTSIsā/ medicated cycles (injections and scans). I found them all much more difficult than ICSI as it felt as if the responsibility for success was down to us.
We have since changed clinic, but at the time I was told we werenāt conceiving because I must be āanxiousā. This was so frustrating as I had already dropped down to part-time at work to reduce stress and was doing yoga, acupuncture, Chinese herbs and meditation š
Very frustrating for my hubby too as he felt ignored in the whole process.
Four ICSI cycles later, a trip to a urologist for my hubby (and quite a bit of counselling) and we are now so relieved to have opted for donor sperm. Took the pressure off him especially.
Hang in there. As Iāve been told by the clinicians several times itās a ānumbers gameā - the more months you try the more chance you have.
Our age really determined that we needed to move to donor. If we had more time on our hands weād have tried other options for longer.
Be gentle on yourself and know that you canāt control everything no matter how much work you put into it. xxx
