I was just wondering if anyone has got pregnant at 47 or above naturally? Is it really a miracle, my doctor says it’s 1% chance maybe lower with your own eggs. I am done with all these meds and injections and blood work etc..... it’s so stressful the whole IVF journey, I wonder how anyone can be so calm and relaxed doing this procedure.....😪
Also getting pregnant at an older age with your own eggs have a higher risk of birth defects? Is this also true???
Sad and disappointed 😪

Unfortunately as we get older our chances of natural pregnancy hugely declines....Im sure the Dr would have given you the correct stats. The older we get the less chromosomally normal eggs we have so indeed if we do fall pregnant naturally the chances of a successful pregnancy lessens as miscarriage rates are higher due to this and/or birth defects. It is disappointing (Im 40 so older too) but better to know the facts I guess.xx
There are women got pregnant at 45 and above I wouldn't believe everything just because statistics are not in our favor plus these statistics are based in certain ethnicity and certain amount of number don't forget if you still fertile and you can still produce good quality eggs there is a chance of getting pregnant. Don't give up hope but try IUI at least if ivf is not in your mind it's cheaper and less medicated .
Still there is always hope lots of us been through this journey my ivf told me about a 49 years lady came to him with naturally pregnancy for termination so pregnancy does happen so don't give up . I hope you get your peace of mind
Sorry just seen this post but have to tell you a friend of the family got pregnant naturally at 49. Has a very healthy little boy who is now 1! Just thought I'd say. Good luck with your journey xx
