Can you have too much Progesterone for FET?

Hi guys,

So i have my FET on Tuesday eeeeeeekkkkkk!!! Super excited 🤗♥️ when I spoke to my doctor this week he advised me to take my lubion injections with one cyclogest everyday. I asked if he could check my progesterone levels with a blood test as I came on my period quite early in the TWW last time but he said no need and just advised me to take one cyclogest as well as lubion injections to keep them high enough.

I would be more comfortable taking two cyclogest per day with lubion. Would this be better, or do we have to be careful not to take too much? Xxx

Very exciting to be moving forward! I think there is an upper limit but its very high! I had my levels checked for transfer next time when I was using 2x400mg cyclogest and 1 lubion every second day and my levels were fine 60nmol/l....bang on what my clinic wanted but Ive seen other clinics wanting levels much higher than mine, over 100nmol/l. We all absorb meds differently but I would imagine 2 pessaries would be ok alongside lubion but of course this is a guess. You could perhaps check your levels privately or ask if they will check but you would pay for it?! Good luck!xx

Thanks so much for your reply Cinderella. Oh that's so interesting, I dont know why clinics are so awkward when it comes to testing your progesterone levels lol.

When you say every second day, what did you take every second day and every day? ♥️💫

So I was on 2x400mg cyclogest pessaries every day (one morning and evening) and every second day added a lubion in the evening....hope that makes sense!xx

My clinic won’t check my progesterone levels before transfer and I’m not sure I’ll get it through my GP so I’m considering using an online test:

forthwithlife.co.uk/progest...

I’m not fully decided yet as I’ve never used it before and always a little dubious about online companies but it looks reputable. I figured if the results come back and look low, I may at least be able to use it as some evidence to then request one at my clinic or GP xx

Hi Littlepeax,

My clinic does check progesterone levels and mine came back a little low on my transfer day yesterday so they’ve prescribed me Lubion. I’m doing one Lubion at lunchtime as well as my two cyclogest (one morning, one evening).

I’m sure you would be fine taking two! I’ve never heard that you can have too much of it, must be a hell of lot if there is an amount!

Good luck!x
