4th IVF cycle after previous 3 abandoned- Gonal F AND menopur

Well hello everyone,

I’ve been quiet on here for the last few months waiting for this fourth cycle to start. Despite my reasonably high AMH of 19 my body does not seem to want to respond to stims so my past 3 cycles have all been abandoned. I’m now on the max medication protocol on both menopur and Gonal F. It’s usually for patients with an AMH less than 4. Despite that at my scan today my results were a bit average - 1follicle 14mm, 10 at 10mm and a load less than 9mm, lining 5.8mm.

My next scan is Wednesday so fingers crossed everything keeps growing.

Has anyone got any experience of using the combo of Gonal f AND menopur?

I’m a bit afraid of this next question but has anyone any idea of what happens next if this fails?? The clinic haven’t outright told me this would be my last NHS funded round but they have hinted at it.

My last cycle I was on both meds for a few days and now I am 23 weeks pregnant! I hope your scan goes well and you can go ahead for egg collection xx

I'm just about to start stimming with that mixture too. Downregging with buserelin at the moment. We did short protocol last time but only had one viable embryo which didn't implant.
