I wondered if anyone has any experience of having a late ovulation on letrozole? I usually have short cycles (23-26 days), ovulating on day 14, with a short luteal phase.
This month I'm on letrozole for the first time but it's day 19 and still no positive ovulation test... Could the letrozole have delayed things? Or perhaps the drugs from last month? Last month I was given clomid, HCG trigger shot & cyclogest.
Feeling quite worried and my doc is on holiday and can't fit me in til end of Feb. Any ideas welcome!

I didn’t have letrozole but when I was on clomid my ovulation was much later didn’t see it till day 15 ( normally it was between cd 8-12) I used the clearblue digital ovulation tests as it only showed Lh surge. I tested 2-3 times a day ( it showed Lh surge at lunchtime!) I’m sure it’s coming soon. Are your clinic not monitoring it ( ie scans & blood tests) mine didn’t. I would still try every other day because you never know & that way you haven’t “lost” a chance. Good luck xxx
Thank you @jess1981. The clinic were amazing at monitoring me last month on clomid, but my doc has been on holiday for three weeks and they have no one available to cover to do the scans etc so im totally on my own with it this time. They’ve said I cant get an appointment til the end of Feb, but she’s back next week so I can call her then.
Good to read yours was late too, I hope its coming. Day 20 today and still a flashing smiley... its the first time in 2 1/2 years that ive ovulated late. Making me nervous!
Hi Sylva. I would think it is due to the letrozole. Letrozole prevents estrogen from being produced, thereby influencing the brain's hypothalamus and the pituitary to trigger an egg's release, probably lengthening your cycle. Diane
Thanks so much for your reply DianeArnold . Is it okay for the body to still not have produced an egg by day 20? Does it impact our chances this month? Thanks again
