I had egg collection on Monday and still in quite a bit of pain and the bloating is huge!! I’m on lubion injections this time, but all my previous cycles have been cyclogest. Has anyone else had more bloating with Lubion than the pessaries?
The pain is often like a stitch and it hurts when I cough laugh or sneeze and sometime I struggle to stand up straight when I first stand up from sitting. I spoke to the hospital today and they said it sounds normal as long as it’s getting better as the day’s are going on, I think they are but can’t be 100%!
Bit worried I’m not going to be in a good position for Saturday for egg transfer. Has anyone else been in this situation with being still quite sore at transfer and had positive results? X

Hi, it’s absolutely normal, we did our first cycle of IVF and believe me on the day of transfer I felt I’m going to explode 😐 I was too bloated and as you know the embryo transfer happen with full bladder so it was very difficult for me. But transfer happened and I’m in two weeks wait now.
My pain was just like yours and every movement was a struggle. I’m on cyclogest though... I try to keep hydrated to eat simple food but really nothing helped only time... it’s one week after egg collection now and I’m feeling much better.
Hope you feel better soon and hope everything goes well for you xx
Hi Ropa. So sorry to ear this. Sounds like your ovaries might still be a bit active. Make sure you drink plenty of water and keep an eye on your urine output and colour. If it is dark, then you need to drink more. You can take some paracetamol safely for the pain, but no anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen. Rest when you can, and should your urine output lessen and/or you become breathless, you need to see a doctor. Hopefully you will be more settled for Saturday's transfer. Good luck! Diane
