Hi does anyone know if its normal to get more pain with a hydrosalpinx when your period is due? I have two month to wait for surgery to have them removed but have to put up with this in the meantime x

Hi Bernie. So sorry to hear this, as they are not normally very painful, I wonder whether one of them has become enlarged and your bowels are upsetting it as your motions pass by? get your GP to check you over if it continues. Diane

Hi Diane it was happening a couple of months ago and it was so painful I went to see my surgeon because of it, she mentioned the possibility of endometriosis but said to use protection when getting together with my husband as this might irritate things but as I'm waiting for surgery she will see what's going on then but there seems to be a pattern around my period and/or after being with my husband. I wondered if this was normal, the Drs don't really want to deal with me as I'm being seen by the hospital and the surgeon said she will see me next at the surgery but if this is something quite common it would put my mind at rest while I wait.

Hi. Just hope you don’t have to wait to long, so you get your answers. I don’t think it’s anything major to worry about, just one of the mysteries of endometriosis! Diane

Thanks Diane I do think you're on to something with bowel movement as it is the left side that causes me the issue, I think its a mixture of things, I have two months to wait, hopefully the time will pass quickly.

Hi Thank you for your reply, I have had my tubes removed, which was the best thing for me, I have been having lots of test done this week, which I will get the results in a few weeks and then hopefully my stats are all fine and I can proceed with IVF, fingers crossed, still a long road yet!
