Buserelin Spray leak

Hi,

This is a completely random question but does anyone know if you can absorb Buserelin spray through your skin?

Reason I am asking is that I had my full bottle of spray in my pocket whilst at work and it has managed to unscrew it’s self and leak. I have about 1/4 left of a full bottle before I noticed and now I’m paranoid that I have been absorbing it through my skin from my wet tights. Unfortunately I am still at work so not able to remove tights. Should I be worried? Xx

Hey, it's absorbed through the blood stream so I would say not. You can always give your clinic a call, I'm sure they would be happy to put your mind at rest xx good luck for your cycle xxx

Thank you for replying HollyT7, only me 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m back at the hospital on Friday anyway so I’ll double check then. Hopefully it’s not caused an issue as you say. Thank you for the well wishes. Where abouts are you in your cycle? Xx

Ahh thank you! It still doesn't seem quite real

We were super lucky. Our first round worked but unfortunately it didn't progress so this was our first frozen cycle . We also had two round of iui before we moved onto ivf with icsi. Is this your first venture into treatment xx

Hope everything goes well for you and enjoy your little miracle growing in your tummy.

Yes first time, I’m back on Friday to make sure the injections have been doing what they are supposed to and will probably find out what day I go in for egg retrieval. We are having icsi as my partner had an unsuccessful vasectomy reversal from years ago and that’s our only option now to try for a baby xx

Hey, from what I understand the buserelin spray is absorbed through the mucosa of the nose lining so I think you should be ok. I would maybe give your clinic a call to be sure though.xx
