Under active thyroid

It never rains it pours I can honestly say I just feel like this will never work for us.

On Thursday last week we had our follow up from our 5th failed cycle. We discussed everything around our first ever frozen transfer and the changes that will be made. I will be taking aspirin, steroids, Clexane and increased progesterone.

It seemed really positive and she even suggested another fresh cycle which I am not prepared to do if this fails I will move on to donor as my sister has agreed she would do this for us ☺️. Just as we were about to leave she mentioned that my thyroid should be checked as they have no results of this being checked.

Today I called for the results and have now been diagnosed with an under active thyroid. It just feels like one thing after another and I’m really not coping. I just want to curl up and cry.

Hi Katrina1986. I’m sorry you are going through this! Have they not checked your thyroid before? I wouldn’t worry too much as it is something they can sort easily. Have they mentioned thyroxine? If it makes you feel better I had a bad thyroid test and they retested 2 months later and it was back to normal. It may just be an off test.
