Hi all, as my previous post states i got told i have 2 blocked fallopian tubes today. Still trying to grt my head around it and obviously doing my own google research 🤦🏼♀️🤣
I was looking into what has caused them to be blocked and endometriosis came up.
My symptoms;
Blocked tubes (obviously number1)
Always had heavy painful periods until about 2 years ago, now only 2/3 days but still painful.
Always tired! 24/7 tired, tired tired tired....one blood test came back anemic, thats “fixed” bow they come back normal...? But still tired...😴
Mood swings bad! Recently was told i had depression/anxiety.....?!
I also have really bad IBS...
Anyone else experienced this?
Am i right/wrong 🤔
I know at my next appointment i will find out more, but just after some general chit chat/information tbh. Xx

I have endometriosis haven’t got blocked tubes but it grow & made my uterus lining uneven making implantation impossible but once it was treated it made conception possible. I have some of the symptoms you describe- heavy painful periods which made me also anaemic & I suffer horrendous bowels before & during my periods & have become intolerant towards gluten & dairy.
Definitely push for a laparoscopy as that is the only way you will know for sure whether you have endometriosis or not. Especially if you go down the ivf route you will want to know it’s got the very best chance of working. Depending on blockage sometimes they are able to repair tubes you will have to discuss this with your specialist they may just recommend ivf. xxx
Sorry to hear that. We were the same except it was me who had a son from a previous relationship & couldn’t access nhs funding for IVF yet 2 county’s would’ve funded us. It’s not fair everyone has the right to be a parent. It added an additional pressure where it wasn’t needed ☹️ like this journey isn’t hard enough ☹️we were so lucky to have fell after my endometriosis was treated IVF is so expensive & can take a few rounds to work. It is much cheaper aboard don’t know if that might be a option to you? Good luck with everything & keep us updated xxx
I have blocked tubes which was caused by an infection within the abdomen. The Scar tissue left them both completely blocked them. I do not have endometriosis.
I’ve had two operations (laparoscopy & hysteroscopy) to attempt to unblock these. Only managed to get one clear.
I was diagnosed with endometriosis after a hydrosalpynx was removed. My left tube had scarred so badly that it flipped inside out and adhered closed. The right one is fine. A few other bits were removed during the same surgery. I’ve been pregnant twice since, but lost both.
None that I was aware of, aside from unexplained infertility. I had heavier periods in my 20s, but I also had a copper IUD so it might have been that. My tubes were clear in 2014 when I first did IVF, but by the time we we’re ready to have another child four years later, the left tube was blocked.
