Hi folks. Looking for some tips on how to hide pregnancy on girlie weekend away. I've organised it, but will be approx 9 weeks pregnant when it comes round. Typically we have a few drinks in a hotel room before we head down to dinner and that's where I stress on how to hide it. They know I have embryos frozen but that's it. Don't know I did the transfer. However if I don't drink they'll suss. I don't want to go down the antibiotic route as theyll know. I can do the pre drinks in the hotel room as I can pour non alcoholic wine into a bottle. But it's the restaurant part and pub after I'm dreading. I'm half thinking of saying I'm on dhea for a few months so have decided not to mix with alcohol and do procedure in Nov (and by Nov I can please God make the announcement). Not sure if they will buy that... but doubt they'll go researching dhea and and figure out that's required BEFORE retrieval. Any sneaky tips?

Hiding pregnancy on girly overnight trip- help with excuses
😂😂.... the best kept secret lol... I would say I’ve got a terrible migraine or something and you don’t want to drink to make it worse... you could have some paracetamol with you and pretend to take 😊😊
Hey. You’ll probably have to make up an excuse for sure. Pretend to pre drink and then say you’re not drinking when you’re out because you’re on dhea and trying not to drink as much. Might be able to get best of both. Plus yes I agree they’ll know/guess straight away if you say you’re not drinking straight away. I’ve just had to spend 2 weeks abroad pretending to my nan we weren’t pregnant and ordering “gin” and tonic and “mo”cocktails!! You can do it. Eeeek. Good luck and congratulations hun. Xxxx
Diarrhoea! spend a bit time in the toilet say you’ve got bad guts best not to drink
I second the having “one” in the hotel room. Tell them you’re already on meds ore transfer which you really shouldn’t be drinking on. You don’t even need to tell them DHEA. Although word of warning. Not sure how far you are now, but 9 weeks is often the height of morning sickness. Hopefully you don’t suffer badly but if you do you might want to start thinking about how to explain that one 😀
You could just say you’ve been told that cutting down the booze is the best way to give yourself a chance of success when you do have the transfer?
I do wish people wouldn’t pressure so much for others to drink - I generally don’t drink much and sometimes feel like a freak!
