After a chemical pregnancy would you do the same type of FET or change it up? Any success stories?

Had a chemical following a natural + trigger fet of pgs normal embryo. Just trying to decide if it's a good thing that it implanted and therefore should stick with natural + trigger fet of if I should do a medicated FET next? Any success stories?? Please!

Hi, my first FET failed and my 2nd FET was also a chemical pregnancy. Sorry for yours. Both have mine have been medicated. I keep wondering too if it’s a food thing that it implanted? I saw the consultant after my chemical and asked if there’s anything that I needed testing. She said to stay positive and keep going! She also sent me for some bloods but haven’t had results back yet. Sorry I haven’t any advice for you! Maybe ring your clinic and ask them is they recommend anything? Xx

They are so awful aren't they. Did you do an ERA to check if the timing needs adjusting? How many more will you have before you change consultants? Mine is tweaking my protocol slightly but not drastically...

Never had an era to check timing. My consultant seems to think nothing needs adjusting. As it’s a medicated FET they have a bit more control, once lining get above 7mm then they start you on the progesterone and after 5 days good to go. Husband was worried about me taking more drugs but to be honest it’s only oestrogen tablets so what you get naturally in your cycle anyway and I had no side effects.

Consultant said have to just keep trying. I’m just crossing my fingers that the right embryo will come about soon as only have 4 Frosties left! X

I asked if there was any point doing an ERA since the timing must have been right for it to have implanted. He said it might still need adjusting. The Dr on the Beat Infertility podcast likened it to this analogy: the train is coming along the platform and the embryo tries to jump onboard whilst it's inertia (moving) and grips on but can't hold on...a chemical ensues. So by getting an ERA you can double check that the timing may need a longer platform so the they can implant properly with that extra day or so of progesterone prior to transfer. Anyway we will see. Problem with fertility is there could be a million reasons for it failing and we'll likely never find out why but in going to exhaust all possibilities.
