I keep reading conflicting stories from people who've had a FET as to whether or not they moved or rested on the days after.
What did you do? Did you get a bfp or bfn?
Perhaps it's all out of our control but I'd still like to know xx

I rested the first 2 days, after that I carried on my days as normal, right now I'm feeding my son from this FET.... I don't think rest can do any harm. Good luck xxxxx
Congratulations! 1 for resting
I had a fresh transfer but I’m sure it would be the same really! This time I took a couple of days off work and rested the day of transfer, watching comedies on the sofa then the following days got out for a few nice dog walks in between more resting. I would say bed rest is not necessary but to avoid as much stress as possible can only be a good thing.
This is the first time I’ve taken time off work (I’ve had two previous BFNs from fresh cycles) and this time I got a BFP. It’s still early days but I’ve never got this far before so I’m an advocate for taking some time for you to rest and maybe a little gentle exercise to keep you moving!
Good luck x
Tbh I’ve done both and unsure it has made a lot of difference. I would say def to rest the day after though fine to do bits then to maybe take it abit easier and then go on as normal after that. I’ve got bfp and bfn when done both so unsure. def prompt mindfulness and trying not to be stressed etc
When ur FET? Am doing mine this month
Yes I'm beginning to wonder if anything we do or don't do actually has any affect on success. It is interesting.
I'm on day 1 of my cycle today. I go in for my day 2 scan tomorrow and probably again on day 8 and the days leading up to ovulation as I tend to ovulate around day 13. I'm guessing my FET will be around the 15th August? It's my first ever transfer so I'm excited but apprehensive.
I'll also be doing insights for the first time a few days before transfer
How about you? When is yours? Are you medicated? I'm doing unmedicated apart from baby aspirin and cyclogest/Lubion
Hey! Yeah I know def is hard to say. Know my clinic have said go on as normal but nothing to strenuous.
Ahh cool am on day 2 so we pretty much the same. 🤞🤞🤞 to us both
Am doing a natural one too apart from being on high folic acid and then when have transfer be on pessaries and clexane so yeah more drugs after. This be my 4th transfer I think maybe 5th. Been successful twice but then miscarried so am hopeful but always brings a lot of anxiety. Did u have a fresh cycle and transfer?
Hope all goes well for us🤞🤞
Wow good to have someone around the same time. Which date do you expect to have your FET?
I hope I don't need Clexane. I did Antiphospholipid antibody blood test over a year ago and nothing was detected so I don't think I have blood clotting issues?
I've been prescribed 75mg of baby aspirin daily (should double check when I need to start that actually) and extra folic acid because I am larger. When do you start your folic acid?
I did my one and only egg retrieval around Easter time and because we were pgs testing we couldn't do a transfer.
This will be my first ever transfer (it'll be frozen).
Ooh exciting for u indeed. I expect to have the transfer maybe 14th or 15th August. How about u?? Depends on when ovulate of course.
Yeah don’t think there any issues with my blood either but just giving it as hope may help so what ever may help🤞
I’ve started my folic acid already and will continue for awhile. Advised me can be started 3 months before but guess diff for all
Oooh exciting it ur first. Is an exciting but nerve wracking experience. All people on here are lush though so all support each other.
Ask if any questions by. Good luck xxx
I naturally ovulate around day 13 of each month (which is the 10th August) though it is not always easy to tell because it is not always picked up on my advanced clear blue fertility monitor. I am hoping they'll pick it up through daily scans and bloods...? Then the Dr says they do the FET of my 5 day blastocyst 5 days after ovulation (15th August).
I really hope that can pin point ovulation accurately.
Are you also transferring a 5 day blast?
I was reading up on autism and it's possible links to women taking high doses of folic acid during pregnancy...I'm sure it's nothing but it's making me second guess taking the extra folic acid... Argh why do i have to offer think everything?
It's great to have another person going through their transfer at the same time xx
Cool and that great they doing daily scans and tests that def should pick ur ovulation up I would’ve thought. Cool def have transfer so close together then cool.
I think there are risks with everything but reck the pros would outweigh them. Not heard that link with autism but tbh there was that link with mmr jabs and that was refuted. Can be scare mongering I reck n autism is more complex. Who knows a but well for me am going for it and it worth trying regardless.
Yep have got a day 5 blastocyst so yeah I usually ovulate around day 14-15 so be just after that. Oooh hope all goes well for us both.
Best wishes. Xx
Will check in soon
I’ve had 3, in my first (fresh) I took it easy for 3 days then went back to work, worked a busy 12 hour shift (nurse) and got a bfp which we later miscarried. My first FET I did the same..3 days off then back to work but felt super anxious and cautious with everything I did...BFN. For my second FET I still had my 3 days off then normal activity..really didn’t expect it to work but BFP! X
Woohoo third time's the charm eh! Congratulations 😀
2 weeks off work: BFN
1 week off work: BFP
Weekend off then back to work: BFP
Straight back to work: BFP
So I don’t think it makes much difference, do whatever feels best for you x
Sorry for my sarcasm, but I don't think that any hard work will have a good impact. It goes without saying that you should have a rest at least for several days. Of course, you shouldn't stay in bed for a week, you need to move and do something but not stressful, only easy work. Fresh food, fresh air, walks in the parks and meetings with friends. The doctors recommend not to move and lay on your back for two hours right after the transfer as your embryo will have more chances to stick. I think all these recommendations are taken from their experience. Good luck dear! Baby dust
