Last year I was temping, charting etc and stopped when it all got a bit obsessive. I need to start again to ascertain whether I'm actually ovulating. I've seen this Ovusense being advertised - like a sensor that goes in like a tampon and tracks your temperature. Seems like it would be more precise than using a thermometer? Anyone tried it? It's expensive and I'm throwing money down the drain on everything fertility related at the moment, so wanted to see if anyone has heard anything good or bad before I spend out more money.
Anyone tried Ovusense?: Last year I was... - Fertility Network UK
Anyone tried Ovusense?
Hi Sylvia, I have not tried it but I do temp/chart. I have found temping vaginally in the morning very easy and much more accurate than oral temping. It’s less stressful as it doesn’t really matter if you’ve disturbed sleep/sleep with your mouth open etc.
Plus when you temp vaginally, it takes 1 min to record and log onto your chart. Then you can forget about it and won’t have a sensor inside you all day.
It might be worth trying this first before spending the money on the ovasense.
But should you decide to go ahead with the sensor, I wish you all the best.
It's honestly amazing.
You have to use it everyday accept for when on your period.
But it has been a miracle for us to have this accurate info.
I would recommend to anyone and especially if you are ttc and have pcos.
Thank you greengreen and invisiblegirl. I've decided to go for it - I thought about the vaginal temping but decided to go with the Ovusense. I found a discount code lurking in one of the threads which made it slightly cheaper. What sold it to me was the ability to monitor progesterone throughout the cycle, which is what I really need. And to hopefully figure out if I am actually ovulating or not. Thanks to you both for your input. I'll report back in case anyone else in the future is considering it!
